E.D. Ads!

Published by A.L.E.III at 4:14 pm under Politics, now in America Edit This

Okay, let me say right off the bat that this is not a topic that I would be writing about. Erectile dysfunction; More precisely the never ending advertising we are bombarded with. It is a Tuesday night and it has iced over outside and my entire family is enjoying a warm night of talk and television. It is 7:27 and over our conversation the word erection blares and we look to the television and get the pleasure of watching the end of an erectile dysfunction commercial. My children look at me and the oldest gives a little giggle and reddened cheeks. My wife sort of covers her mouth and looks at me like I made the ad.

Plain and simple children should be able to watch television without a commercial that’s topic is SEX and is very explanatory. At midnight maybe, more understandable, at primetime NO WAY, during sports events NO WAY, it is wrong and too over looked. As a man I know if I have an erection problem I should see my doctor.

I may seem rather old fashioned and sound like a prude but no father wants to talk to 10 year old children about what E.D. is.

How far we have come in 50 years; how responsible we are with the technology we have inherited and invented. From family fun to tolerating trash as if it is nothing.

If any children are reading this and ask their parents about the topic, all I can say is the parents should know what their children are watching, reading, and participating in.
